Rivals Issaquah and Skyline face each other at 4 p.m., today in the KingCo 4A baseball semifinals at Woodinville High School.
Issaquah, the No. 2 from the KingCo Crest battled its way into the semifinals on Saturday with a 5-0 victory over the third-seeded Crown team, Woodinville.
The Eagles were led by senior pitcher Spencer Rogers, who went a complete seven innings allowing just four hits with nine strikeouts.
Devin O’Donnell and Ben Rosellini provided RBI singles in the bottom of the first for a 2-0 lead. Grant Gellatly and Rogers added RBI hits in the bottom of the sixth and Mike Paulson had a sacrifice fly.
Issaquah improved to 17-4 overall with the win.
Skyline, the fourth seed from the KingCo Crest, battled its way into the semifinals with a 5-1 over the top-seeded team from the Crown, Inglemoor.
Pitcher Connor Lawhead went the distance for the Spartans, slowing one of the most potent offenses in the league. Final stats weren’t available from Saturday’s win.
The Spartans improved to 10-10 overall.
The winner of today’s Issaquah-Skyline game will face the winner of Bothell-Redmond at 7 p.m., Thursday for the KingCo Championship, and an automatic state berth. The loser of today’s Issaquah-Skyline game plays a loser-out game at 4 p.m., Tuesday at Woodinville.

Eastside Catholic begins Metro tourney tonight
Eastside Catholic begins the Metro baseball tournament at 5 p.m., tonight against Franklin at Bellevue College.
The Crusaders are the No. 2 seeded team from the Mountain Division with a 13-4 league record. Franklin is the No. 3 seeded team from the Sound Division with a 9-8 league record.
