Issaquah won all its matches Thursday afternoon, defeating Liberty 7-0.
No. 1 singles player Dayna Bennett set the tone for the Eagles, beating Emmie Kellog-Smith, 6-4, 6-1.
Alyssa Wilson, Kelsey Wilson and Molly Shade all won their matches in two games as well.
The No. 1 doubles team of Sam Garrard and Sabrina Norton dominated their match against Julie Do and Audry LaFraugh, winning 6-0, 6-0. The doubles teams of Selena Lustig and Amber Lee and Sabrina Barnett and Jenny Thompson also won in two sets.
Skyline falls at Mercer Island
Skyline struggled in its first match of the season Thursday, falling 6-1 to Mercer Island.
No. 4 singles player Kianna Bertonlino earned the lone victory for the Spartans, defeating Kajal Tiwary 7-6, 7-5.
The Islanders won all six of their matches in straight sets.

Eastlake blanks Eastside Catholic
Eastlake sophomore Sophie Palenscar earned a five-inning, no-hit victory in her first varsity performance Thursday afternoon, defeating Eastside Catholic 10-0.
Palenscar struck out 10 and walked just two. She was also 2-for-3 at the plate.
Lexi Jaeger was 3-for-4 with four RBI and Stephanie Clay was 2-for-4 with three runs scored.
Eastlake moved to 1-1 on the young season, while Eastside Catholic fell to 0-3.
Bonney Lake rolls past Skyline
Mickey Dunn-Blad had a big day against her former team Thursday afternoon, leading Bonney Lake to a 14-2 victory over Skyline.
The sophomore had a three-run triple and led her team with five RBI.
Spartan seniors Anya Kamber and Lindsey Nicholson provided the hits for Skyline. Kamber was 2-for-3 wit a run scored and Nicholson had a two-run double.
Skyline dropped to 0-2 overall.
BASEBALL
Mount Rainier downs Skyline
Mount Rainier jumped out to a fast start Thursday, defeating Skyline 3-1.
The Rams scored two runs in the top of the first inning off of Spartan starter Brandon Lunderberg and another in the top of the fifth.
Skyline’s lone run came in the bottom of the first inning.
The Spartans fell to 0-2 with the loss.
Issaquah drops opener to Kentridge
Kentridge erupted for five runs in the second inning Thursday on its way to a 8-0 victory over Issaquah.
Starter Ian Buckles held the Eagles to two hits in five innings of work. Issaquah had just four hits for the game.
Sheldon Stober provided the big hit for the Chargers, drilling a three-run home run in the top of the second. He was 1-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored.
Issaquah dropped to 0-1 to start the season.
Eastside shuts out Cleveland
Eastside Catholic improved to 3-0 on Thursday defeating Cleveland 7-0 at Marymoor Park.
No stats were reported from the victory. The Crusaders are set to host Seattle Prep next on Tuesday, March 21.

Skyline blasts Lake Washington
Skyline cruised to a big win Thursday night, defeating Lake Washington 6-0. No stats were reported.
The Spartans are currently 2-0-1. They face Auburn Mountainview next, at 7:30 p.m., Monday at SHS.
