Behind big performances from some local baseball players, the KingCo Crest defeated the Crown, 13-7, on Thursday in the league’s annual feeder game at Woodinville High School.
Skyline’s Sean Penberthy went 2-for-2 at the plate with four RBI, including a three-run home run in the sixth inning.
Issaquah’s Spencer Rogers provided one big hit in the bottom of the fifth inning, drilling a grand slam home run over the fence.
Eastlake’s Sam Nasci was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
Issaquah’s Shane Yarnell pitched the first two innings for the Crest, allowing two runs in the top of the second inning.
Skyline’s Connor Lawhead pitched the seventh and eighth innings, giving up two runs in the eighth.

After the game, 10 KingCo seniors were nominated for the State All-Star game, which will be played next weekend, June 12, in Yakima. Final selections to the team will be announced on Sunday.
