Lakeside Senior Legion no-hits Garfield

The Lakeside Senior Legion baseball team — a group consisting of players from Issaquah, Skyline and Newport high schools — capped a doubleheader Saturday with a combined seven-inning no-hitter of Garfield.

The Lakeside Senior Legion baseball team — a group consisting of players from Issaquah, Skyline and Newport high schools — capped a doubleheader Saturday with a combined seven-inning no-hitter of Garfield.

Starter Connor Gilchrist pitched the first three innings, while Aaron Sandefur closed out the final four in a 7-0 win. Nate Anderson went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBI, Andrew Kemmerer was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Dan Altchech was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Lakeside defeated Garfield 11-1 earlier in the day.

They are now 7-4 headed into Wednesday’s game against Chaffey at Husky Ballpark.
