The Little League All-Star season is nearly underway, with leagues around the area crowning tournament champions

The youngest stars of the baseball and softball diamonds are claiming league championships and preparing for All-Star tournaments as summer begins.

Eastlake Little League’s Red Sox won the year end tournament title in the AAA Division, winning the championship game 11-10 in seven innings after winning their semifinal game 10-9, also in extra frames.

Rangers take Coast


At the Coast Division, it was the Rangers taking home the title.

Mariners win Majors


The Mariners were the champions in the Major Division, beating the Orioles 6-4 for the title.

The team won four games in the tournament, 11-3 over the Angels, 14-4 over the Red Sox and 13-3 over the Cubs, before surviving the title game.
