Northwest Paddling Festival coming back to Issaquah | Community recreation news

The festival is back at Lake Sammamish State Park for a second straight year.

Lake Sammamish State Park will play host to the Northwest Paddling Festival for the second consecutive year after the event moved from West Seattle to Issaquah in 2012, drawing paddlesports enthusiasts from around the region.

This year’s version is Saturday, May 11 and will feature sea kayak tours, introductory classes for stand-up paddle boarding, kayak and SUP races and dozens of vendors featuring top brands and the newest technologies.

Admission is free and parking is available with a Discover Pass for $30 or a $10 one-day pass into the park. SUP demos include a $5 registration fee.
