Schlepp earns Seattle Seahawks athlete of the week honors
Skyline Spartans Cross Country student athlete Geneva Schlepp was chosen as the Seattle Seahawks high school athlete of the week. Schlepp was honored with a ceremony commemorating the honor on Sept. 23 at Skyline High School. Schlepp received a personalized 2016 Nike Seahawks jersey, a custom Seahawks football and two game tickets, which included sideline passes to a Seahawks home game.

Eastlake shuts out Mount Si
The Eastlake Wolves earned a 3-0 win against the Mount Si Wildcats in a Class 4A KingCo soccer matchup on Sept. 22. Eastlake improved its overall record to 4-1-1 with the win.
Spartans defeat Falcons
The Skyline Spartans defeated the Woodinville Falcons 3-1 on Sept. 20 at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell. Spartans’ junior Emma Rohleder scored two goals (eighth minute, 76th minute) and Alex Kirton recorded a goal in the 31st minute of play. McKenna Ross and Cameron Tingey each had an assist as well. The Spartans improved their overall record to 3-0-2 with the win.
Issaquah wins nail-biter
The Issaquah Eagles captured a 2-1 win against the Woodinville Falcons on Sept. 22. Issaquah improved its overall record to 5-0-1 with the victory. Issaquah will host the Mount Si Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 at Gary Moore Stadium in Issaquah.
Eastside Catholic earns first victory
The Eastside Catholic Crusaders defeated Bainbridge Island 4-0 on Sept. 22. The Crusaders (1-4-1) will host the Holy Names Academy at 4 p.m. on Oct. 4 in Sammamish.

Crusaders cruise to fourth victory
The Eastside Catholic Crusaders registered a convincing 46-7 victory against the Seattle Prep Panthers on Sept. 23 in Sammamish. The Crusaders (4-0) will host Lakeside at 7 p.m on Sept. 30 at Eastside Catholic School.
Wolves get back in win column
After suffering a heartbreaking three-point defeat to rival Skyline on Sept. 16, the Eastlake Wolves got back in the win column, courtesy of a 50-26 win against the Inglemoor Vikings on Sept. 22. Eastlake (3-1) will host the Bothell Cougars at 7 p.m. on Sept. 30 at Eastlake High School in Sammamish.
Mount Si defeats Issaquah
The Mount Si Wildcats earned a 27-6 win against the Issaquah Eagles on Sept. 23. Issaquah (1-3) will play the Newport Knights at 7 p.m. on Sept. 30 at Newport High School in Factoria.

Local team to host fundraiser
The Bellevue Blast 16U girls fastpitch team is hosting a fundraiser on Oct. 15 at the Redmond Assembly of God Church, which is located at 166901 NE 95th St. in Redmond. The fundraiser will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Money raised will help pay for the team’s upcoming travel tournaments.
