Seatown Classic set for Issaquah High School | Community sports news

A pair of Division I women's lacrosse teams will be on the field at Issaquah High School in October for the second annual Seatown Classic.

A pair of Pac-12 Universities headline the second annual Seatown Classic lacrosse showcase, this year set to take place at Issaquah High School on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The University of Oregon and USC will be matched on the field and the trip to the area will be a homecoming for one of the Trojans, as Eastside Catholic grad Alex Foreman returns after earning All State honors during her time with the Crusaders.

“The Washington State Chapter of US Lacrosse is excited to bring high-level NCAA Div. I lacrosse back to the State of Washington for a second consecutive year,” said Dave Low, president of the Washington State Chapter of US Lacrosse in a press release.  “With the demand among youth and high school girls in Washington state to play lacrosse it’s important that we continue to bring the highest level of the game to the state,” Low said.  “We want our kids to experience first-hand the best collegiate lacrosse players in America.”

Oregon and USC are two of the five schools in the Pac-12 that offer women’s lacrosse as a varsity sport, along with California, Stanford and Colorado.

The game is slated for a 1 p.m. start and tickets are available online for $13 and at the gate for $15.

Other events during the weekend will include an induction ceremony for the Washington State Lacrosse Hall of Fame at the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland and a clinic for youth and high school players.
