Skyline’s Sarah DiMeco competes in the 100 back during the KingCo girls swimming championship finals on Oct. 30 at Kamiak High School. Skyline, which won a share of the KingCo 4A league title along with Newport and Issaquah, won the meet as a team with a score of 529.5. The Skyline Spartans girls swim team set two meet records in the 200 medley and 400 free relay. The 200 medley team consisting of Christina Bradley, Danika Himes, Lauren Sayles and Sarah DiMeco earned first place with a time of 1:50.18. The 400 free relay squad of Gracie McRae, Stephanie Young, Bradley and Himes nabbed first place with a time of 3:35.07. Bradley captured first-place finishes in the 100 free and 200 free. Skyline swimmers collecting third place in their respective events were McRae (200 free), Himes (100 backstroke) and Sayles (100 breast stroke). The Spartans will compete in the Class 4A Sea-King district swim meet on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 in Mercer Island.
