Senior guard Lindsey Nicholson scored a season-best 22 points Wednesday, leading the Skyline girls to a 60-55 victory over Garfield.
The Spartans jumped out to a fast start, taking a 34-24 halftime lead. The Bulldogs fought back in the fourth quarter, but Skyline held on down the stretch.
Megan Weideman added 13 points and Michelle Bretl had 10 for the Spartans.
Skyline improved to 4-3 in league and 10-4 overall. The Spartans travel to Eastlake (4-2, 9-2) at 6:30 p.m., Friday.
Bainbridge bests Eastside Catholic
Bainbridge built a small cushion and was able to maintain Wednesday night, downing Eastside Catholic 58-49 in Sammamish.
The Spartans took a 26-20 halftime lead and led by five points at the end of the three quarters, 42-37.
Four Crusaders scored in double figures, led by Alex Johnston’s 11 points. Shannon Graves, Shelby Newell and Michaela O’Rourke all scored 10 apiece.
Grace Kenyon led Bainbridge with 23 points.
Eastside Catholic fell to 3-7 in league and 3-10 overall with the loss. The Crusaders are next scheduled to host non-league Eastlake at 4:15 p.m., Saturday.

Issaquah takes down Garfield
Issaquah earned five pins in a dominating 57-30 victory over Garfield on Wednesday.
The Eagles earned pins from Stefano Erickson (119), Caleb Pearson (125), Jerdon Helgeson (130), Sean Novak (140) and Joseph Tonnemaker (145).
Paul Tilton (171) also picked up a 10-6 decision for a victory, while the Eagles earned forfeits at three weight classes.
