Skyline clinches berth at state tournament

The Skyline Spartans never forgot its 2-1 loss to the Issaquah Eagles in their regular season finale on Oct. 23.The Spartans got their revenge, earning a 2-0 victory on Nov. 3 at Issaquah High School in the Class 4A KingCo Championship game to clinch a berth at the Class 4A state tournament. This is the seventh year in a row the Spartans have advanced to the state playoffs. Kelli Sullivan and Lindsey Fujiwara  each scored a goal for the Spartans. Natalie Neumiller and Alexa Kirton recorded an assist apiece as well.

Crusaders crush Roughriders

Eastside Catholic extended it’s winning streak to eight consecutive games with a 41-0 victory against the Roosevelt Roughriders on Oct. 31 in Seattle.  Eastside Catholic (8-1) will host the Arlington Eagles in a winner-to-state, loser-out playoff game at 7 p.m. on Nov. 7 in Sammamish.

Spartans win KingCo tourney opener

The Skyline Spartans, who have the No. 1 seed in the Class 4A KingCo volleyball tournament, swept the Redmond Mustangs 3-0 in the first round on Nov. 1 at Skyline High School. The Spartans faced the Mount Si Wildcats in the second round of the tourney. As of press time, results of this contest were unavailable.

Wolves conquer Vikings in first round

The Eastlake Wolves, who are the No. 3 seed in the Class 4A KingCo volleyball tournament, defeated the Inglemoor Vikings 3-1 in the first round on Nov. 1 at Skyline High School. The Wolves faced the Newport Knights in the second round of the tourney. As of press time, results of this contest were unavailable.
