The 4A swim and dive meet begins Friday at King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way and Skyline, Issaquah and Eastlake are well represented in the field of the state’s best.
The Spartans own the fifth seed time in the 200 yard medley relay, with Eastlake also in the field at 21.
Issaquah freshman Jenifer Matsuda is seeded third in the 200 free and second in the 500 free.
Skyline senior Stephanie Munoz and Eastlake senior Lily Newton are also in the field in the 200 free and Munoz has the fourth fastest time entering the 100 fly, where she will swim with teammates Kathy Lin and Yui Umezawa.
Newton is seeded fifth in the 500 free, with Skyline’s Chase Raines and Issaquah’s Michelle Francois and Katie Maier also in the field.
Sophomores Elyse Kaczmarek and Darian Himes are set for the 200 IM for Skyline, along with senior Erin Alleva for the Wolves.
Senior standout Gabrielle Gevers will be after her first individual title in the pool for the Eagles and is seeded 11th in the 50 free and is also in the field for the 100 free.
Umezawa is seventh in the 100 back and will be in the field along with teammate Chase Raines and Eastlake freshman Aimee Ellis.
Lin and freshman Gabrielle Salgado will be in the 100 breaststroke, along with Alleva.
District champ Erin Taylor of Skyline takes the top seed score to the one meter diving competition, where the Eastlake duo of Kaela Call and Christina Torrente and Taylor’s teammate Alyssa Holy could all reach the podium and are seeded in the top-six.
All three teams are in the field for the 200 free relay, with Issaquah owning the best time of the three thus far and seeded sixth and the same is true for the 400 free relay, with Skyline seeded fifth, Issaquah 13th and Eastlake 16th entering Friday’s preliminary round.
The 4A meet gets underway Friday at 9:45 a.m., with the finals set for Saturday at 10 a.m. at KCAC (650 SW Campus Dr, Federal Way).
