The Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, before allowing the Beavers to tie the game in the top of the fourth. Ballard eventually pushed the winning run across in the top of the seventh.

Heather Benjamin was 2-for-4 at the plate and Brielle Bray had a double to lead Issaquah.

Eagles’ pitcher Mikenzie Voves allowed just three hits on the afternoon with 10 strikeouts.

Issaquah, which lost 2-1 to Newport the day before, fell to 3-4 in league and 5-5 overall.

Eastlake rally falls short against Bothell

After surrendering six runs in the first inning, the Eastlake fastpitch team rallied to tie Bothell on Wednesday, before eventually falling 7-6.

The Wolves scored two runs in the bottom of the third and four in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game, 6-6. Bothell, which was held scoreless since the first inning, finally got on the board in the top of the seventh to grab the victory.

Lexie Jaeger was 2-for-4 at the plate for Eastlake and Nicole Guptil was 3-for-4.

Eastlake is now 3-3 in league and 6-4 overall.

Last-second goal lifts Skyline past Curtis

Senior Charlie Engel took a Danny Christianson pass from behind the net to score with eight seconds remaining to give Skyline an 11–10 Division I high school lacrosse win over Curtis, Wednesday at Curtis High School.

With a shot from the top of the crease, Engel beat Curtis goalkeeper Mitchell Homeyer over the right shoulder for his 18th goal of the season.

Curtis tied the game with 4:58 remaining after Homeyer made a save in his own crease and charged the length of the field, dishing the ball to junior Quinn Moody who converted for the equalizer.

Matt Saffle and Spencer Engel each had three goals and Spencer Matches had 17 ground balls as Skyline advanced to 6-5-0 on the season.

Issaquah downs Puyallup

Senior Todd Jones scored three goals to help Issaquah to an 11–7 Division I high school lacrosse win over Puyallup, Wednesday at Issaquah High School. The goal was the 18th of the season for Jones.

The Eagles netted their 10th win of the season.
